"Every artist dips his brush in his own
soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures." |

| Welcome
to my watercolor web site. The
images shown here reflect paintings from past and present.
There are three main categories, Riverside
Local Color, Missions and
Florals, and Seascapes and Lighthouses.
I have recently added a category, Available
Originals, and a category showing Special
Projects completed on commission. |

| Watercolor
offers boundless challenges and possibilities of flowing rich
color, light and texture. The
very ground, the paper, glows from beneath the color to add the
transparent qualities of watercolor’s wild nature.
In the years that I have enjoyed working with watercolor,
I’ve discovered it is a limitless learning process that is
always exciting. |

| While
working in downtown Riverside,
California, I walked past and admired daily the beautiful old buildings and
architecture, especially the Mission Inn and the courthouses.
When a local downtown gallery offered me a one-artist show
if I completed 20 Mission Inn and local landmark paintings, I jumped at the opportunity.
It began my experience and enjoyment of painting Riverside’s “local color.” Missions and Florals page
reflects healing and serenity I feel while painting California
’s beautiful missions, mission benches and statuary.
Seascapes and Lighthouses shows images of paintings from my years exhibiting at the
Laguna summer festival. This
year I hope to do a better job posting
current, available originals.
Thank you for visiting my watercolor web site.
