What Is An Open Edition Photographic Print?

WHAT IS AN OPEN EDITION PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINT?

You will note that most of my finished size 16 x 20" prints say "open edition photographic print." These are photographic reproductions produced by utilizing quality 4x5" transparency film and professional printing. They are not limited edition prints, which means are not individually signed and numbered as an edition of a certain number. Each of my open edition prints is signed by me on the mat and the name of the painting written by hand on the mat.

Although I am moving toward all Giclee prints, open edition prints have remained my most popular color reproductions and have proved to be as durable as Giclee prints but are less expensive to produce and thus can be sold at less expensive prices. I guarantee satisfaction of all my prints so long as they are protected from direct sunlight and excess moisture, as any color print or original watercolor should be protected.

A Certificate of Authenticity is provided with each print, and they can be purchased with matting only or matting and framing. The 16 x 20" finished size in which they are matted fits into a standard size frame which can be purchased easily without custom framing.
